Friday night we went to the Holden street fair to have some pork Bar-B-Que that the church cooked up. We were going to meet Nancy after work and the plan was to leave home around 6:30. Well, Diane got a call from a neighbor that some of her cows got out and were standing in the road. She called Tom but got no answer on his cell. She had to go and get them back in the pasture by herself. (Travis is in IL on vacation with some friends) The cows made their way thru the corn field, with some damage to the plants, but Diane was able to get them all rounded up. I'm sorry I missed this photo op!
We made it to the fair just in time to meet Nancy and the food was d-lish. The home made french fries were soooooooooooo good but the Butter Brickle ice cream was not so good.
Well, the good news is that the Holden Street Fair served pork bar-b-que and not beef from those runaway cows! Well, not this time anyhow. Hopefully, Diane set them straight about what would happen if they ever broke out again!
