Men at work, again!

Tom installing the hardware on the wall to hang the T-Shirt quilt that Diane made us. Travis laid a 12' board over the stairway to a ladder so Tom could reach the top of the wall.

The quilt is so big it hangs almost to the steps. It looks really good and makes the room feel warmer.

Birddog?

On the far right post is a hawk that has been hanging around the back yard for the last two weeks. He showed up about the same time we started feeding the birds on the deck.

Several hours later Shadow shows up with a wing that looks oddly like the feathers of the same hawk this morning.
I guess the old man can still hunt.

Now that's a tree topper!

I wonder if I can get him to sit on my tree next Christmas?

The birds loving the pinecones rolled in peanut butter and bird seed.

We are recycling our Christmas tree so the birds have a winter treat.
The pinecones came from Diane, and the peanut butter crunch came from Leah.
As for the twine, I found it along the road on BB highway. Must have fallen off a farmers truck.

The view from the kitchen table this morning. Nice.

Are you ready for some football!

Nancy trys out her new football cake pan that she got for Christmas. Next weekend she is making a giant football sandwich for the playoffs. Yum-O

Winter in Mo is for the birds!

Winter in Missouri.

Who let Shadow in the house?

Blog photo of the month.

Travis and Amanda stopped by last night for a little visit. He has a little project for me to work on. Travis asked if he could be on the blog sometime.  I said sure, so I got my camera out and snapped this photo. If you remember these two drove to PA with Travis (our Travis) to help us move to Missouri.
Hope dinner was good last night because Travis E. was buying!
If you have a photo you would like to see on the blog just send it to me. Maybe yours will be next month's feature photo.

Men at work.

This afternoon Tom and Travis came over to install a new faucet and garbage disposal. So far only 1 trip to town, but then, the job is not done yet.
Lets keep our fingers crossed!

Winter wonderland.

My nephew wanted me to post some photo's of the snow out here.
I think Ohio has way more snow then we do.
Morgan seems to like playing in the snow, and even better, finding this nice bone over at Shadows house.

Goldfinch Pie?

Since Diane had such good luck feeding the birds at her house, Nancy and I decided to put out some bird seed to see what birds would stop by our house. Diane gave us a bag of corn and the birds really love it.
A flicker also dropped by to peck at the suet we have hanging out on the deck.
Who else will drop by for a bird snack today? We shall see.

Would you like ice with your water?

At 6:30 am this morning the temp was 1 degree. Around 7am it was 2 degrees. When I let Morgan out at 8:45 it was 0. What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?
Cloudy with a chance of meatballs????

Got skates? The pond is frozen solid!
