Pouches and sacks.

I have been making all kinds of pouches for people. Travis got a snack sack for his birthday, Nancy got a  pen & pencil pouch for work, and I made myself a cell phone pouch. This is one I made for Mary's camera.

Saturday, Bass Pro Shop run and Bonfire.

We drove up to Lee's Summit to have lunch with Nancy at On The Border, Yum-O. Then off to the Bass Pro Shop to do a little shopping. Each one of us came out with a bag in hand.

Dinner was hot dogs and smores. Yum, Yum.
Boy, Travis can build one heck of a fire, I must say!

Travis and Karl talk trucks, tractors, and four wheelers.

The fire was great. We all sat around the fire, country music was on in the background. They even had some christmas tunes playing. The air was crisp, the fire was warm, and the company was the best ever.
Some us went home and watched the new Star Trek Movie, some went night four wheelin, but a good time was had by all.

Friday, shootin guns, country music, and four wheelin.

We made a trip to Wal-Mart for a box of clay pigeons.

Travis, Mary, and Karl.

Karl takes aim at a flying disc.

New BFF?

Shadow comes over to help Karl replace a faulty GFI outlet on the deck.

Missouri or bust! Thanksgiving 2009

My niece Mary.

My nephew Karl.

On Wednesday Karl and Mary made the 12 hour trek from Ohio to spend the Thanksgiving holidays with us. Little did they know what was in store for them. Thursday was the big holiday meal at Tom and Diane's house.

Big smile as Tom carves the turkey.

Diane shows off all the good eats for dinner.

Nancy wants her photo stiring the gravy as she does every year so people think she did all the cooking.

Diane and I made Pilgram hats for the table with name tags.

The best part was after dinner you could eat the hat!

After dinner some of us went over to the barn to check out the farm and some of those green tractors.

Mary and Karl share a love of the big green tractor.

Karl checking out all the equipment.

Game day. Steelers X Chiefs

Nancy and her brother Dave at Arrowhead Stadium.

Rob and Kristen cooking up some tailgate goodness. Are you ready for some football!

Nancy playing a game of washers before the game.

The Chief's and Steelers duke it out. To both Nancy and Dave's dismay the Steelers loose to the KC Chiefs.
For Dave it was bittersweet, he is a Steelers and Chief's fan.

Cats and Dog?

Morgan has two new playmates. Our next door neighbors have two new kittens that Morgan has been keeping an eye on for the last month or so. The all Black one likes to play with Morgan. As of late, the two of them have come over to hang out on our deck. Note: Shadow also belongs to these neighbors. So far everyone is getting along fine. I was worried Morgan would think they were a snack!

Get - er - done.

Due to all the wet weather here in the Midwest, or the "Middle" as some are calling it, Tom And Travis have been working double time trying to harvest the last of the corn and soybeans. I am happy to report that as of Friday afternoon the Combine can be put to rest for the season.
I guess Allis will see more of them now and maybe she will get more dog bones!
